Sodalite Rough
Sodalite rough is a stone that rewards a closer look — its deep royal blue, streaked with white calcite veining, has a depth and richness that’s hard to capture in a photo. In its raw, unpolished form, you can see exactly how it forms: bold, direct, and completely itself. This is a stone of truth, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything else.

Formation & Fun Facts
Sodalite is a tectosilicate mineral found in igneous rocks, particularly nepheline syenites. Its deep blue color comes from sulfur within its crystal structure. It is found primarily in Canada, Brazil, and Namibia. Sodalite was first discovered in Greenland in 1811, but became widely known after large deposits were found in Ontario, Canada, in 1891. It is sometimes called “Princess Blue” after Princess Patricia of Connaught, who chose it for her Canadian residence.
